Skyscrapers In Paradise, NV: Architecture Of The Las Vegas Strip

This photo gallery explores the architecture of the Las Vegas Strip. Every time I’m in Las Vegas, I’m amazed at how concentrated the city is. Looking at my hometown of Chicago from the air, the city sprawl goes on and on as far as the eye can see. Las Vegas, on the other hand, is a brightly glittering and glowing jewel tucked away and confined to one Mojave valley. These photos were taken from the Eiffel tower observation deck at the Paris Hotel. Even from that height, the impressive architecture of the city trails off very quickly to mountain drop offs and long Mojave roads. The photo series is in black and white, accentuating the shadows cast by the late morning February sun. Various hotels along the strip are featured along with some mega attractions such as the High Roller Ferris wheel.
