I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t have the correct equipment (a telescope rig) to capture things like comets. I’m also not great at finding them, I had to test shot various patches of the night sky where I thought this comet would be located before I happened to capture a corona. This was taken within 70 miles of Chicago, so I was combating a fair amount of light pollution. This is a composite photo from three raw images. I did so in order to bring out the comet’s trail.
