Ithaca, NY is a lovely college town in the finger lakes region of upstate New York. Ithaca is in the finger lakes AVA which produces primarily white wines and is compared to the Ruhr Valley AVA region in Germany.
Ithaca is known for its gorges and waterfalls. I snagged some waterfall shots on this trip, using a neutral density filter to capture the flow and movement of water at the various falls I visited. Ithaca, Lucifer Falls, and Cascadilla Falls are featured in this post. Fortunately, I knew some people with a boat in Ithaca and I got the chance to do some shooting of the city of Ithaca while cruising around Cayuga Lake.
