Filming locations in this month include: The Mojave Preserve in CA, Las Vegas Strip from the Paris Hotel, Red Rock Canyon in Nevada, and Ravenswood in Chicago. I got a new 10.5mm prime lens for Christmas, so I used it for some wide angle city and star shots this month.
I wrap up my 2017 daily photo project with shoots all taking place in my hometown of Chicago. Song birds and long exposure night shots were the rule this month. This month’s shooting locations include Chicago, Stars in rural Illinois, and Stars in Lansing NY. I focused on Astro Photography and Macro Photography with a new star trail photo and Milky Way shots in the mix.
This month’s shooting location includes Mammoth Cave in Kentucky and various sites in Illinois. On August 21st, I chased the Great American Solar Eclipse and landed in Dixon Springs State Park in southern Illinois. With a teleconverter and some solar filters, I was able to captured the eclipse in totality. Good times!
