I came out to Big Pine Key in Florida to try and film the perseid meteor shower. I had a very short window of time to work in, as the meteor shower coincided with a waning gibbous moon. I tried to take a few star trails the day I arrived with the moon still up and storm clouds rolling over the ocean. To be honest, I got some awesome weather photos that night, but only mediocre star trails. On the plus side, I was able to sit on the beach, crack a bottle of wine, and soak up the warm night air. This was probably the most comfortable photo shoot I’ve ever been on.
